Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 June 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Stampr (“Service”), operated by Stampr (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Stampr is a WhatsApp-native staff attendance platform for small and medium businesses. Managers create an account and connect a WhatsApp Business number. Employees send “IN” or “OUT” messages to that number; Stampr records the timestamp, computes attendance status, and surfaces a live dashboard for the manager.

The Service is intended for business use. By registering you represent that you are authorised to bind your organisation to these Terms.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@getstampr.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

Each account may have one owner and multiple managers depending on your plan. You may not share credentials between individuals.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to collect attendance data for individuals who have not been informed and have not consented.
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service in a manner that violates WhatsApp’s Business Policy or any applicable law.
  • Transmit spam, malware, or any harmful content through the WhatsApp integration.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

4. Employee Data & Your Responsibilities

As a manager or business owner using Stampr, you are the data controller for your employees’ attendance records. You are responsible for:

  • Informing your employees that their WhatsApp messages to the Stampr number will be recorded.
  • Obtaining any consents required by local employment or data protection law.
  • Ensuring the data you collect is used only for legitimate workforce management purposes.

We act as a data processor on your behalf. Our handling of that data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Billing & Plans

Stampr is billed on a flat monthly fee based on your chosen plan and headcount tier. All prices are listed on the pricing page and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Payment is processed via Paystack depending on your region. Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue pro-rata refunds for partial months.

We may change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.

6. Free Trial

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with access to all features. No payment information is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period you must select a paid plan to continue using the Service. Unused trial days cannot be extended or refunded.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, design, trademarks, and content in the Service are owned by or licensed to Stampr. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights. You retain ownership of all data you input into the Service.

8. Availability & Support

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects access and will give reasonable notice where possible. Support is provided via email at hello@getstampr.com. Response times depend on your plan.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stampr is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost profits or data loss. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in that period.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law. Upon termination, your data is retained for 30 days during which you may export it, after which it is deleted.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Nairobi, Kenya, unless local law requires otherwise.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
